EPIC creates and administers innovative educational programs for youth and adults in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Our mission is to advance marginalized learners through innovation, empathy, volunteerism, diversity and partnerships.

EPIC'S 2024-2025 Recognition:
Our Core Program
This award-winning program, based in Sydney, NS, has been improving people's lives by providing free, after-school tutoring & mentoring program for marginalized kids 8 - 18 since 1998. Outreach programs now reach four additional communities. High school or university students serve as volunteer tutor-mentors.
Spreading the Impact
Peer Tutoring began in the Fall of 2024.
The mission is to spread and foster more centres for our award-winning Youth Peer tutoring/mentoring program. EPIC has sought partner organizations to administer these programs, with assistance from
EPIC, in order to broaden and
deepen the positive impacts for
marginalized youth in Nova Scotia.
