EPIC During COVID
EPIC lost no time going online with our programs in April 2020 to offer our kids and parents continuity and support in these unprecedented times.
In September 2020, EPIC began running fully in-person and online, instituting safety protocols in accordance with NS Health and Safety and the NS Department of Education.
January 2022: EPIC continues to respond to the needs of its clients by offering on-line tutor/mentoring for students while the public health and educational officials are sorting out protocols for students in response to the Omicron variant.
Youth Peer & Outreach
The Youth Peer Program in Sydney
celebrated its 20 year in 2019.
In 2016, Outreach brought this award-winning model to three additional communities: Glace Bay, New Waterford and the Northside.
The program provides free, after-school tutoring & mentoring program for kids 8 - 18. High school or university students serve as volunteer tutor-mentors.
